Brad Hicks vs Ron Burgandy
I was just going through my webstats and noticed I got some Google traffic for people looking for Brad Hicks. It was probably Brad Googleing himself, you shouldn’t do that Brad. Anyway, I make no secret of what a joke I think local news is, I am not alone in this and I don’t have much to say that hasn’t been said before. I did find something pretty funny however. I had mentioned Brad Hicks in a post about a couple trash stories on the news lately that were messing with local business. The only reason I mentioned Brad was because of his garish ties and the fact that he just looks like he would smoke weed. Which is totally fine by me. Anyway, I googled Brad Hicks and came across this page.

Last Minute Christmas Sales in Milwaukee
Every year I do the same thing, I am not alone, putting off Christmas shopping until the last minute. I ended up getting my Fiance a pair of diamond ear rings. When I was paying for the jewelry it really hit home how silly it is to not buy gifts online. Tax – oh man, the tax. I am not going to say how much the earrings were but I could have gone out and had a very nice dinner for two with the amount I paid for the sales tax.
Its probably too late to get any last minute gifts online and have them for Christmas morning, but times are tough right now so if you are buying a big ticket item like a TV or high end electronics, not only will you find a better price online – you can save big bucks on the sales tax. It’s important to remember that if a business has a presence in your state – you will get charged tax. BestBuy.com is a good example of a site to avoid.Personally I buy almost everything from Amazon.
I had to go to Target yesterday to buy a gift for a kid. I ended up getting him the Star Wars Jedi Mind Trainer – seems really cool. For a recluse like myself, it was hellish navigating through the crowds. Again, I noticed the tax. I braved the mall yesterday – again, more crowds. If you came to this page looking for last minute gifts and sales, sorry, wrong place. I can’t help you with that. If the recipients of your gifts can wait an extra couple days, save the money and the headache and shop online.
Milwaukee SWAT team Video – Hostage I-94
Milwaukee was the scene of a long and boring hostage standoff today. Thousands of people huddled around their TV’s and monitors to watch the unfolding of a scene that Californians see every day. A red SUV was surrounded on I-94 for 5 hours today as the SWAT team played rock paper scissors to see who was going to get to add some numbers to the 2010 statistics. In the end, the Milwaukee Police Department Robot was the winner and was awarded the chance to extract the scofflaws. The robot showed no apparent signs of fear as it headed to the car at a steady pace that witnesses said was “almost mechanical”.

In the end – no one was given the ultimate Christmas gift; of being able to discharge a firearm on a public highway. The public as a whole is grateful to the criminals for giving all of us a great excuse for being late to work today. Apparently there are rumors circulating that several large Milwaukee based companies are considering taking action to recoup some of the losses from unproductive workers walking from cubicle to cubicle repeating: “did you see that thing on the news?” and spouting baseless facts and invented statistics for hostage situations and the stress threshold of police officers.
Getting your site listed in Google in under 30 minutes

This is a short post, I have a ton of work to do and I don’t have much to say on this subject. This post is really just to call attention to the last post I made about neon sculptures in Milwaukee.
#1 link in Google for low hanging fruit is not only easily attainable, I can get it in under 30 minutes. Now a search phrase for neon sculptures in Milwaukee may seem like a silly phrase to you, but to a sculptor who makes things out of neon, this listing could be what determines if he gets to keep his lights on next month.
The yellow pages are dead, you have heard it before, and it’s true. Marketing your business, to your community is not difficult. We can show you what to do, or do it for you.
I will be announcing a local business marketing seminar that we will be holding in Milwaukee sometime in July. Stay tuned.
